One of the biggest challenges for wheelchair users is finding an accessible taxi that can get them where they need to go reliably and on time. For many of us, it’s hard enough to find a service in our own community, much less in a different city, state or country.

We need a place to go, a one-stop shop for accessible transportation, no matter where in the world we might be traveling. That doesn’t exist yet, but I want to build it with your help.

I invite you to visit WCTaxis.com, a new website that I hope will soon be home to the world’s largest database of wheelchair taxi and transportation providers. There, we will crowdsource information that will be added to a database, allowing disabled travelers to find an accessible transportation providers simply by searching a city, state/province or country name.

Visit the WC Taxis website and submit information through a form about wheelchair taxi providers in your local community, or those that you have used in another city while traveling. We’ll collect, verify and publish the information into the database. Then, travelers will be able to comment and share reviews of their own experiences with a given provider.

Information is the key to accessibility and the foundation of an open world. Please do your part in sharing what you know so that we can all experience the joy of traveling accessibly.
