Let’s talk about accessible travel.
The world is on lockdown and many people are stuck at home, dreaming about their next vacation. I’m one of those people and, with some extra time on my hands, thought it would be cool to make myself available in a new way — by telephone.
For a suggested donation of $25 to the charitable cause of your choice (not required), I’ll give you a call and for 30 minutes you can pick my brain about anything accessible travel related — the best destinations, air travel, accessible hotels, fun things to do and so on. If you’d like, we could also chat about other topics like sports, movies, music, my favorite pizza place or anything else, really — not much is off-limits.
I’m making myself available three days a week for the foreseeable future — Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, from 12 pm to 1 pm Eastern time. To select a time and introduce yourself, click here. Calls can only be reserved up to one week into the future, so be sure to check back as more dates open up.
If you are able to make a donation, send an email to mailbag@wheelchairtravel.org with a copy of your charitable contribution receipt. If you’re looking for worthy organizations to support, I recommend the following, which hold a special place in my heart:
- American Red Cross
- Amputee Coalition
- Catholic Charities USA
- Habitat for Humanity
- Phoenix Society for Burn Survivors
If you are unable to make a donation, no worries — it is only a suggestion, and an effort to spread good in this time of uncertainty.
I look forward to speaking with you!
