Buenos Aires Wheelchair Taxis

A number of companies in Buenos Aires offer wheelchair transportation using lift-equipped vehicles.

Public transportation will only get you so far in Buenos Aires. Limitations in schedules and the reach of accessible routes may sometimes necessitate the hiring of private transportation.

Fortunately, a number of wheelchair transportation services presently operate in Buenos Aires. Some of the wheelchair accessible vehicles used are lift-equipped, while others have ramps. I tested a couple of these services out, and have provided contact information for the Buenos Aires accessible transportation companies below.

Exit-Traslados

English-speaking owner/operator Christian provides a friendly accessible transportation service using his lift-equipped Fiat Doblo vehicle.

Headroom for power wheelchair users is limited (I had to tilt my head down) and the wheelchair lift maxes out at approximately 600 lbs. capacity, but the service is stellar. You’ll enjoy talking with Christian during your ride!

My driver, Raphael, spoke English and was waiting for me in the airport arrivals hall with a sign bearing my name.
