On this tour, we will visit Berlin, Krakow and Warsaw, with a stop in charming Wrocław along the way, to experience a program that highlights the art, architecture, music, cuisine and profound history of Central Europe. Presented in a format that is accessible and designed to be barrier-free, this tour provides the perfect opportunity to experience Germany and Poland without barriers!
Trip Itinerary
I have crafted this accessible trip itinerary by organizing a team of local and regional partners who have the knowledge, equipment and staff to ensure that our needs are met. Through this group tour, we are able to account for everyone’s needs while offering a truly exceptional experience at an affordable price. There is no better way to explore Germany and Poland with a wheelchair or disability!
Day 1 (August 8, 2027): Arrival in Berlin, Germany
I will be waiting for you in the arrivals hall at the Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER), and you will be transported by our driver in a wheelchair accessible vehicle to our hotel, the Scandic Berlin Potsdamer Platz, for check-in.

Our hotel sits in a quiet area just 150 meters from the Potsdamer Platz shopping center, reachable via smooth, level sidewalks, with a wide range of accessible restaurants, cafés and shops within easy rolling distance. The wheelchair accessible guest rooms are spacious and include accessibility features such as an adjustable bed, roll-under sink, toilet with grab bars, and a roll-in shower with a built-in shower seat. Should you require alternate equipment to make your trip or stay more accessible, we can research and provide options for local equipment rentals.
Take the afternoon to rest or explore the local area on your own, before meeting the group for a welcome drink, tour orientation and dinner in the hotel restaurant. We will describe the tour itinerary in detail, and I will be available to answer any questions you have.
Included meals: Dinner
Day 2 (August 9, 2027): Berlin Highlights and Spree River Cruise
We will begin the day in the heart of the reunified capital, exploring Potsdamer Platz, the Government Quarter and the iconic Brandenburg Gate, the enduring symbol of German unity. We will then visit the Neues Museum on Berlin's UNESCO-listed Museum Island, home to the famous bust of Nefertiti.

In the afternoon, we will visit the East Side Gallery — the longest surviving stretch of the Berlin Wall, transformed into the world's largest open-air gallery — before boarding an accessible boat for a river cruise on the Spree, taking in Berlin's landmarks from the water. The day ends with a group dinner at the famous Ständige Vertretung, a Berlin cult restaurant celebrated for its Rhineland cuisine and political memorabilia.
Included meals: Breakfast and Dinner
Day 3 (August 10, 2027): House of the Wannsee Conference and West Berlin
This morning, we will visit the House of the Wannsee Conference, the lakeside villa where, in 1942, Nazi officials met to coordinate the Holocaust. Today a memorial and educational site, the villa offers a sobering and important encounter with history.

We will continue with a panoramic tour along the Kurfürstendamm, West Berlin's grand shopping boulevard, with a stop at the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, preserved in its war-damaged state as a moving memorial to peace, and some free time "in the West" before returning to the hotel.
Included meals: Breakfast
Day 4 (August 11, 2027): Berlin to Krakow
After breakfast, we will depart for Poland. We will break the journey in the charming city of Wrocław — known for its colorful market square and hundreds of tiny bronze gnomes — for a lunch stop, before continuing to Krakow with stops at wheelchair accessible highway rest areas along the way.

In the evening, we will check in to our wheelchair accessible 5-star hotel in Krakow — our home for the next 3 nights.
Included meals: Breakfast
Day 5 (August 12, 2027): Wawel Royal Castle and Old Town Tour
We will spend the morning at the Wawel Royal Castle, the historic seat of Polish kings perched above the Vistula River and one of the country's greatest treasures.

In the afternoon, a guided walking tour will explore Krakow's magnificent Old Town, centered on the Main Market Square — one of the largest medieval squares in Europe, ringed by the Cloth Hall and St. Mary's Basilica. We will cap the day with a group dinner at a restaurant at the castle.
Included meals: Breakfast and Dinner
Day 6 (August 13, 2027): Schindler's Factory and Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial
Today is devoted to remembrance. We will begin with a visit to Oskar Schindler's Enamel Factory, the museum housed in the factory where Schindler saved the lives of more than 1,000 Jewish workers during World War II.

We will then continue to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum, about 70 kilometers from Krakow. A guided visit of the former camp and its exhibitions will offer a solemn and deeply moving encounter with history. We will return to Krakow in the late afternoon, with the evening free for quiet reflection and dinner on your own.
Included meals: Breakfast
Day 7 (August 14, 2027): Krakow to Warsaw
After breakfast, we will drive north to the Polish capital city of Warsaw, stopping at wheelchair accessible highway rest area as needed along the way.

On arrival, we will check-in to our wheelchair accessible 4-star hotel — our home for the final 4 nights of the tour.

The rest of the day is at leisure to relax or begin exploring the Polish capital on your own.
Included meals: Breakfast
Day 8 (August 15, 2027): Warsaw Highlights and Chopin Concert
The morning begins with a panoramic drive around Warsaw with stops at the city's highlights, followed by a lunch break at the beautiful Łazienki Park, Warsaw's grand royal park.

In the afternoon, a guided walking tour will lead us from the New Town into the Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site painstakingly rebuilt after World War II.

Our evening in the Old Town is a special one — a live Chopin concert honoring Poland's most beloved composer, followed by a group dinner.
Included meals: Breakfast and Dinner
Day 9 (August 16, 2027): Palace of Culture and Warsaw Ghetto Walking Tour
This morning, we will visit the Palace of Culture and Science, Warsaw's iconic and controversial landmark, and take in 360-degree views of the city from its observation deck.

In the afternoon, our guide will lead a walking tour through the area of the former Warsaw Ghetto, tracing its history through the memorials and remnants that remain, including the Ghetto Heroes Monument — a powerful complement to the sites of remembrance we visited earlier in the tour.
Included meals: Breakfast
Day 10 (August 17, 2027): Free Day in Warsaw
We will enjoy a free day in Warsaw, with wheelchair accessible van transfers available if you'd like to venture farther from the hotel.

Pursue your own curiosities — museums, shopping or simply relaxing at a café in the Old Town are all possibilities! Go your own way, or join me on a tour of one of my favorite spots.
In the evening, our group will gather for a farewell dinner.
Included meals: Breakfast and Dinner
