For travelers with disabilities visiting Latvia, there are a number of wheelchair accessible hotel rooms in Riga. I personally stayed in only one Riga hotel — the Radisson Blu Daugava, which I have detailed below. Note that there are other hotels in the city that offer wheelchair accessible accommodation, and I have provided links to a selection of those as well.

Radisson Blu Daugava Hotel Riga

King size bed in hotel room with two chairs and a desk with floor to ceiling windows overlooking a river.

The Radisson Blu Daugava Hotel offers wheelchair accessible accommodation featuring a king size bed and bathtub. The bed features 7 inches of clear space underneath, capable of accommodating many portable transfer hoists. Although spacious and featuring floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the river and city skyline, there is space for a wheelchair only on the left side of the bed.

The bathroom accessibility was good, with a roll-under sink, toilet with grab bars and a bathtub with a grab bars and a handheld showerhead. The seat provided for use in the tub was secure, but the seat itself sat low in the tub rather than even with the sides.

The hotel itself is located across the river from the city center — wheelchair users can roll to the city across the bridge, or travel via city bus which stops about 5 minutes walk/roll from the hotel.

To research room rates or to make a reservation, visit the Radisson Blu website.
