Luxembourg Airport is located less than 4 miles from the city center and it is the only international airport in the country. Despite handling more than 4 million passengers in 2018, it is especially known for its cargo operations. The airport serves as the headquarters for Cargolux, and as a hub for China Airlines Cargo and Qatar Airways Cargo.

The airport’s primary terminal is Terminal A, which manages all of the commercial airline traffic at LUX. The terminal opened in 2008 and has all of the features of a modern airport.
I have compiled a list of airlines and their associated terminals for you here. Please check with your airline for the most up-to-date information on terminal and gate assignments.
- Terminal A — Aegean Airlines, Alitalia, British Airways, easyJet, Flybe, Hahn Air, KLM, LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa, Luxair, Ryanair, Scandinavian Airlines, Swiss International Air Lines, TAP Air Portugal, Turkish Airlines, Volotea
- Terminal B — Private/charter terminal
Disability assistance services should be requested prior to travel and through your airline. Consult this list of wheelchair assistance contacts at major airlines. If you are traveling with a personal wheelchair, it is possible to gate-check the device, whether it is manual or powered.

Boarding is typically conducted via jet bridge, though some smaller aircraft park at a remote stand. Due to the small size of the terminal, personal wheelchairs can be returned quickly on arrival at the door of the aircraft.
Private accessible bathrooms for use by people with disabilities and their carer are available in the airport terminal.
More information on the airport and its facilities is available at the Luxembourg Airport website.
Accessible transportation to/from Luxembourg Airport
Once you have made your way through passport control, baggage claim and customs, you’ll be deposited into the arrivals hall. Here, you can meet your wheelchair taxi driver (accessible taxis must be prearranged) or go outside to the city bus stop directly in front of the Terminal A building. If you are able to ride in a standard taxi, they are available from the taxi stand.
For those utilizing public transportation, bus number 16 and 29 travel from Luxembourg Airport to the city. Both buses can get you to the historic district in less than 30 minutes.
