For travelers with disabilities visiting Estonia, there are a number of wheelchair accessible hotel rooms in Tallinn. Although I have personally stayed in only a single Tallinn hotel (the Metropol Hotel), I’ve detailed that accommodation here and have also included a list of other hotels that advertise wheelchair accessible hotel rooms across a variety of price points.

Metropol Hotel

The Metropol Hotel, located across the street from the Lithuanian Museum of Architecture and within walking distance of the Old Town center, offers wheelchair accessible hotel rooms for guests with disabilities. It is an affordable hotel that with rooms priced from 49 Euros per night.

The guest room was spacious and featured wood-colored laminate flooring. There was enough room on both sides of the two single beds to accommodate my power wheelchair. A desk and flat screen TV was placed opposite the foot of the bed.

The bathroom featured a number of accessibility features including a roll under sink and toilet with grab bars. The grab bars were attached to the toilet itself, and both folded up at the same time which meant there was no true grab bar to hold onto during a lateral transfer. The roll-in shower had single grab bar andhandheld showerhead. There was no shower chair in the room when I arrived, but they were able to provide one upon request.

To research room rates or to make a reservation, visit the Metropol Hotel website.

The remaining hotels on this list aren’t ones that I have personally visited, but I’ve shared information and photos that the hotels have provided about their accessible guest rooms.
