Airlines, hotels and purveyors of all sorts of travel gear will provide deep discounts on what is surely the most explosive shopping day of the year. Satisfying your accessible travel wanderlust won’t get cheaper than it will with this week’s deals, so I encourage you to take advantage!
Some Black Friday sales are underway, and many will extend through Cyber Monday on November 27th. I’ve put together this guide to the best Black Friday travel deals already underway, as well as a few to look out for as the weekend progresses. Tickets to entertainment and sporting events through StubHub
StubHub allows fans (regular people like you and me) to resell tickets to entertainment and sporting events. All of the major professional sports teams and games are listed, as are many musical concerts and major theatre performances.
On Cyber Monday only (November 27th), you can take a 15% discount off any ticket sold through StubHub by using the promo code CYBER15.
Accessible seating is available for some events but, where it isn’t, I typically purchase a regular ticket and exchange it at the venue’s ticket office for an accessible one. This is especially helpful at sporting events, where most wheelchair accessible seats/spaces go unsold.
If the team’s ticket office wants $100 for a seat in section 100, but I can find a resale ticket in that same section on StubHub for $50, that’s what I’ll do.
