2025 was a big year for this accessible travel community, with more readers than ever before and a long overdue integration (finally!) of the website and newsletter into a single platform. Readers hailed from more than 100 countries, demonstrating that accessible travel demand is global and that the tourism industry can no longer afford to ignore disabled travelers!

I previously published my own 2025 Accessible Travel Year in Review, but what matters most are the stories that interest readers like you! I’ve calculated the readership numbers and uncovered four rankings worth highlighting: the top 5 cities you read about, the top 10 questions you sought answers to, the top 10 most-read editions of the Wheelchair Travel Newsletter and the year's top 25 articles and blog posts.
Top 5 Accessible Travel Destinations of 2025
These were the destinations readers read the most about in 2025.
- Rome, Italy Wheelchair Travel Guide
- London, England Wheelchair Travel Guide
- Boston, Massachusetts Wheelchair Travel Guide
- Las Vegas, Nevada Wheelchair Travel Guide
- Rio de Janeiro, Brazil Wheelchair Travel Guide
This list looks a bit different than those from previous years, with some notable absences — Chicago, New York City and Washington, D.C. did not crack the top 5, while Boston rejoined the list (it's my favorite American city) and Rio de Janeiro appeared for the first time. Remember that you can access more than 60 detailed accessible travel guides here:
